Be careful not to mistake a 27" 1440p monitor for a 1080p one, the 1440p monitors have much higher pixel density and look a lot crisper as a result. I also had Gsync on and off and no change. Also I would tab in and the game would look fine but like over the course of 10-15 seconds the brightness would tank.
