Seb warned in yesterday’s Q&A that using DX12 would show zero improvements (initially) and in some cases could even cause a decrease in performance. There’s no advantage to using DX12 atm except to help test stability. And it could hurt performance, as people are now reporting. WebI tested further, I tried The Witcher 3 in DX11, no issues. Tried it in DX12, freeze and crash. Same story with Borderlands. Clearly there is an issue with DX12. I am not sure if it’s latest drivers but I haven’t had these issues with these games before but I also haven’t played DX12 games for a few months, since like late Jan early Feb.
