WebSep 10, 2024 · Fitting a gear indicator on a 2005 GL1800. While putting my GL1800 back together after replacing the starter motor I fitted a Healtech gear indicator. It was supplied with a display and a separate wiring loom suitable for the 2005 GL1800. The instructions were not GL1800 specific, so I thought an informative post would help others in the future. WebHowever, on bikes which do not have Gear Position Sensor (Honda and most Kawasaki), the unit will indicate the correct gear only when the engine is running and clutch is released.
